Over 170 miles of Trail Open for Mountain Bikers in Sedona

Jennifer Burns, Recreation Staff Officer for the Red Rock Ranger District says \"the District has added over 45 miles of trail to the official forest system in the past 3 years, all open to mountain biking. This makes over 170 miles of Forest trails open to bikes on the District. Among the trails added in the last couple of years are Hilline, Adobe Jack, Mescal, Chuckwagon and Aerie trails. In addition the recently built Dry Creek Trailhead and Vista and the Adobe Jack Trailhead on 89A offer great access to trails for mountain bikers (and hikers).\" View the full press release

April 20: Dancing in the Moonlight Benefits Verde Valley Sanctuary

The Verde Valley Sanctuary, a shelter for victims of family violence, will host its largest fundraiser of the year, Dancing in the Moonlight, on April 20 at 5:00 pm. The event takes place at Sky Ranch Lodge on Airport Mesa and includes drinks, dinner, an auction and dancing to the Latin rhythms of Cuban-American singer Mercy. Tickets are $100. April 26-28: Sedona Artists Hold 10th Annual Open Studios Tour

Artists will welcome the public into their studios Friday thru Sunday, April 26 - 28. SVAC artists are from all over the Verde Valley working in the mediums of photography, jewelry, ceramics, painting and sculpture, to name just a few.
